Welcome to a Stronger Foundation for a Better Future
Herkimer Housing Authority, rebranded as Stone Ridge Residences in 2021, was established on April 11, 1951 to offer safe, decent, affordable housing to low income families, disabled individuals, veterans, and senior citizens in the Village of Herkimer. The New York State Legislature established the housing authority in Herkimer under the Public Housing Laws of New York State.

We serve the Herkimer community with our five affordable housing complexes: Stone Ridge Gems, Stone Ridge Flatts, Stone Ridge Orchards, Stone Ridge Mills, and Nathan Castle.

Daycare
The Head Start and Early Head Start programs are federally-funded center-based or home-based child development programs, for expectant families and children between 18 months and age 5, free of cost.
